3 Areas Where Tattoo Removal Hurts

When it comes to removing your unwanted tattoo, most people worry about the pain that’s involved. There are a few things you need to ask yourself once you decide you are going to go through with the removal of that tattoo. First, which part of your body are you removing your tattoo from? Second, which method of removal are you going to use?

It’s a definite yes, that removing tattoos from certain parts of your body is more painful than others. And it’s a definite yes that certain methods of removal are more painful than others. Plus certain methods are not allowed and will not be considered based on where your tattoo is located.

Lower Back Tattoo Removal

Many females have chosen to get the so called “Tramp Stamp” tattoo located on their lower backs. Nowadays, many of those same females are sick of the stereotype and want it removed. Your lower back is the center of your body. It’s where many of your organs, like your kidneys and liver, as well as your spine come together. Also, you have to consider that your ribcage isn’t there to protect all of these vital organs, so basically you're on your own. Plus, your spine is a sensitive area, and removing a tattoo from there hurts just as much as getting it put on, regardless of which method of removal you choose. Tattoos in this location are often bigger, which means more treatments to complete the process, which means more money out of your pocket.

Hands, Feet and Ankle Tattoo Removal

Getting tattoos removed from your hands, feet and ankles is just as painful as getting the tattoos put on for one good reason. These three areas have very little blood circulation. If you can remember the amount of pain you withstood getting the tattoo on in one of these areas, then get ready for that amount of pain times two when you get it removed. It doesn’t matter which method of removal you choose, the pain will be excruciating. Although, these tattoos are generally smaller, because of the lack of blood flow, they require more treatments, which equals out to be more expensive in the long run.

Inner Arm Tattoo Removal

The inner part of your arm is extremely sensitive. You probably know that if you’ve received a tattoo in that location. Removing a tattoo from this area is just as painful. Laser removal can apply a numbing cream, however, this does little to help. Even though places like your arms and chest have more blood circulation, the inside of your arm is much softer, looser and stretches more than other parts of your arm. These three factors will require the removal process to go slower. It will depend on the size of your tattoo, to determine how many treatments or sessions it will take to complete the process. The more treatments, the more it will cost.
