Are You A Candidate For Tattoo Removal?
With so many different methods to choose from and new technology entering the market annually, if you’re not a candidate it can only be caused by certain things or certain reasons. People prone to keloids or hyper pigmentation, sensitive to hypo pigmentation, target areas are affected by undiagnosed lesions, warts, step 3-4 acne, rosacea, unstable diabetes or auto immune system disorders can NOT be candidates for any procedure to remove a tattoo. Risks are too high.
Also something to consider is whether or not the person removing a tattoo is emotionally stable. The procedures tend to take time and patience to complete and someone who is emotionally unstable, might not be able to handle the process.
Of course there are obvious things about the tattoo that must enable a person to be a suitable candidate for the removal procedures. Size, shape, color, depth, age, and whether or not it was applied by amateur or professional all matter when choosing a method to remove a tattoo. A person’s ability to heal also matters when deciding if you're a good candidate. Some procedures take hours to heal while other procedures can take years. People who smoke are never good candidates, especially when getting chemical peels done. If you don’t react well to burns or if you have excessive scarring due to minor cuts and abrasions you might not be a great candidate for any method of tattoo removal. Also if you're Greek, Italian, Asian or African American you may be prone to hypo pigmentation resulting from dermabrasion. The only methods that don’t scar are fade-away creams. However, there are many warnings against these creams, results vary but the creams don’t discriminate against pigment colors or skin colors. Lasers tend to work best on light complexions and dark tattoo ink, tattoos that are applied through out the body and found close to the skins surface. Regardless of the method you choose to remove your tattoo, you should consult a doctor and with his/her help decide the best way. Good Luck!!
