IPL Tattoo Removal
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light Therapy. It’s the newest and most effective way to remove a tattoo. It is very similar to the laser treatment, but some folks are predicting it will someday take the place of lasers all together. The difference between the two is that IPL applies a special gel onto your skin and uses a wand to emit light pulses, while a laser produces short pulses of intense light that passes through the layers of your skin. This method is said to be less painful than laser treatment and you are likely to get goal accomplished in less sessions, which means less money.
As of right now, it is more expensive than traditional lasers; prices do vary from office to office. Once IPL’s replace lasers the prices will fall dramatically. Most people say they could feel a sensation of warmth or a stinging. Nothing close to how painful it was to put the darn thing on!! There are risks of scarring, blistering and bleeding. These risks are rare but have happened. Results might no be permanent based off of activities in your life such as sunlight, skincare and medications, however not many people have complained of this. They say it’s like a minor sunburn afterwards, and doctors warn not to move around to much so you can avoid stretching your skin. You don’t want to tear to skin or make it bleed do you? They give you a special moisturizing lotion to help prevent the peeling and itchiness, but any breaks in the skin could cause serious or permanent scarring.
