Freedom 2 Tattoo Removal
Freedom 2 is a brand new invention in the tattoo removal world. In fact, it starts with the tattoo being applied. Freedom 2 is a new removable ink invented by a group of doctors in New York. Many people are skeptics right now but that’s okay. Freedom 2’s primary goal is to create a product that addresses removablitity, safety and health issues surrounding the tattoo and permanent cosmetic market of today.
Approved by the FDA, the only concern with this product is getting tattoo artists to use it.
Many artists don’t like to think one day their client will want the tattoo to be removed. They say if that’s the case, they’d rather convince the client not to get the tattoo in the first place. I think that’s hogwash personally. I believe this product will open the door to a new market, groups of people who originally wouldn’t get a tattoo simply because they are permanent might reconsider, which brings in business.
See, the ink is encapsulated in tiny beads made of PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate), which is synthetic material found in surgical glue. Basically these beads blend in with the rest of components until its time for removal. Then they spring into action. Laser treatment is the only way to remove this ink right now. The laser penetrates the tiny beads which fall apart immediately and allow the ink to break down to leave the body. Only one treatment is needed to remove a tattoo which is a big plus on prices. Since most laser treatments are under one thousand dollars, it won’t be long before that tattoo is out of sight and out of mind!
Right now the only color available is black. But the company is quickly creating other colors to put on the market. The company is also creating a “time limited” tattoo ink which is biodegradable and intended to fade with time. More info on that is still to come.
