Saline Injections

Different saline’s, such as lidocaine are injected into the tattooed area to break up the pigment. Most people I've spoken to suggest this method is best used for making the tattoo seem blurry, with intentions to cover up a tattoo. This method is encouraged to be used in preparations for cover up work by many professionals.

Saline is not strong enough to remove a tattoo and return skin to its natural state and traces of your tattoo will remain. This method is said to be generally painless. Candidates for this method usually have never been prone to hypotrophy or keloid.

Consulting with your doctor before hand is always best. The doc should provide you with pamphlets full of information explaining this process. Costs are generally cheaper than having laser treatments or fading cream methods completed, but still, saline injections do cost money. Insurance doesn’t usually cover cosmetic procedures, and tattoo removal is considered to be so. Again, check with your doctor or two or three before setting up an appointment and good luck in achieving the results you're looking for!!
