Rejuvi Chemical Peel
Rejuvi is a new product on the market for tattoo removal. The process is the only one that mimics the process of having a tattoo put on. This method is said to be just as painful while using either a cosmetic rotary gun or a coiled tattoo gun. This process is the fastest non-surgical method to remove a tattoo taking only 6-8 weeks between treatments. The entire process consists of four main steps; first applying the topical anesthetics, second applying Rejuvi’s chemicals(allowing them to mix with the tattoo pigment), third is letting the chemicals dry to form a crust while the fourth step is simply removing the crust by peeling it off the skin. The entire process is said to last approximately 3 to 6 months. Breaking it down is simple though: Steps 1 and 2 take up to 1 ½ hours, Step 3 can take anywhere between 7 and 25 days and Step 4 depends on the tattoo itself. If it’s a micro pigmentation it will only take 1 to 3 months to heal, but if you're trying to complete the removal of complete body artwork it could take 3 to 6 months.
Unlike other methods, after using Rejuvi you do NOT have to avoid sunlight since after the treatment the skin goes back to its natural state. And unlike other methods, Rejuvi doesn’t discriminate against colors. Regardless of your color scheme, this product is said to remove it. There is less scarring and it’s definitely less expensive than any surgical procedure costing around $80 for a one month supply. The only downside to this method is the fact that afterwards there is initial redness that occurs. Also it’s not recommended that this product be used around the eyes since that area is so delicate. The chemicals included in Rejuvi are alkaline earth metal oxides and transitional metal oxides. These components are similar to properties of tattoo pigment, which makes them easy to remove. “Like attracts like” is the perfect saying to demonstrate how the chemicals react to the tattoo pigments. No hypo pigmentation has ever been reported by patients after using this product.
