Excision Tattoo Removal
If you're getting tattoos because you love pain, then once you feel its time to remove your tattoo, you should look into excision. The most painful way to go, just tell the doctor you don’t need anesthetics to numb you. First you should know dermatologist surgeons are required to perform this method. The doctor removes your skin with a scalpel and closes you with stitches. Depending on the size of your tattoo, skin grafts may be necessary to help close the wound. The best part about this method is only one session is required for full removal. You get numbed, you get cut up, and you get sewn back together again.
I'm learning that the more pain you endure, the less pain your pockets endure. This is the cheapest way to go when sitting in a doctor's chair. But you must prepare properly before doing this. First, decide if this is right treatment for you. Obviously the smaller the tattoo is the easier it will be to remove it; still double check with yourself if you want to undergo this treatment. Next, you must avoid sunlight for a month prior to surgery. Your skin can’t be tight, and since chances of infections are high, you want to make sure your skin is the best it can be. Minimal bleeding should occur since it’s controlled by electrocautery. Most everyone is a good candidate for this procedure. As long as you have plenty of skin on other parts of your body available for skin grafts, you should be fine. Follow up visits are required to monitor the healing process, and this is an outpatient procedure. Scarring will occur so get over it. Like I said, depending on the size of the tattoo determines how big the scar will be.
